Four of my friends are getting married this summer. Yesterday, wedding season kicked off with Abby and James' wedding. It was simple and beautiful and reflected their personalities. During the ceremony, Abby was literally bouncing with excitement. It was adorable and oh so Abby.
A few things I liked about the wedding: James started to cry when Abby came down the aisle. They had a reading from Blue Like Jazz. And their recessional music was the theme song from Indiana Jones.
I was also in love with this girl's hairstyle. You have to zoom in on the pic to see it well (my camera's broken, so all I have is my iPhone), but her hair is tied in a bow.
There was no alcohol or dancing at the reception, but Abby and James did dance to "At Last."
And all of the Incubators (and former Incubators) posed for some pics. (These didn't come out too well... when the other girls post theirs on Facebook, I'll post them on here if they're better.)
Actually, Abby is part of the reason our group is called the Incubators. One time at small group a few years ago, she was expressing her frustration that she wasn't doing what she wanted. She said that she felt like God had so much planned for her, but she didn't know what and was so impatient to find out. Carla wisely told her to think of it as incubating; God was preparing her for the bigger and better things he had in mind for her. We realized we were all kind of at that point in our lives, so that became our name. We have tee shirts and a mascot and everything. Our little stuffed chick goes with us on important journeys. It's been all over the world- Alaska, India, South Africa, D.C., etc. I love these girls, and I'm so happy for Abby and James. Christ is truly at the center of their relationship, and I have no doubt they'll have a long and happy marriage because of that.

It looks like a beautiful wedding and I especially love that their recessional was Indiana Jones, thats awesome.
I'm convinced that when I get married my dad and I are going to dance to "Bad to the Bone" since that was our song when I was growing up.
