Mr. A, the math teacher on my team, wasn't at work today. In the middle of first period, one of his students burst into the classroom next door and yelled, "Mr. L, we need help!" Mr. L assumed there was a fight. He almost sent a kid to go get the other male teacher across the hall. He rushed into the classroom, trying to figure out where the fight was so he could break it up. But there was no fight. Just the substitute teacher trying to teach a math lesson. Incorrectly. The kids were so upset, they were practically rioting- out of their seats, yelling, etc. It was chaos.
We all thought this was hilarious. But more than being a funny story, we also see it as a testament to Mr. A's teaching skills. He must be an amazing math teacher and have a great rapport with the kids for them to have been so worked up over a math lesson. They'll be so glad to see him tomorrow.
