My weekend was sublime.
I moved to the other side of downtown due to feral cats invading my apartment. This means I live right by my favorite vegetarian restaurant, Green. Laura and I met for dinner there on Friday night.
I went for a hike on Hieroglyphics Trail out in the Supes on Saturday morning. It was a little crowded, but exactly what I wanted. 3 miles, not too difficult, and scenic. The petroglyphs were really cool.
I got to sing with the worship band on Sunday morning, and we did a mashup of "Uptown Funk" and a traditional hymn. So. Much. Fun. And then I found out after church that the drummer is also the drummer in a pretty famous band. I got to perform with a legit rock star!
Sia came to see me sing, and we had lunch at Mucho Macho Taco. Then I went to the library, and then I baked even more cookies and sat outside in the sun and read a really trashy romance novel.
I realize this is not a very exciting weekend, but it was full of all my favorite things and I am just so grateful for days like this.
Next weekend will be a whole different kind of happy- canyoneering at Death Valley!
