One of the best days EVER!
Then it was time for me to catch a train downtown, where I met my Nina at the Art Institute. I miss that place so much. I miss Chicago so much!!
We visited our favorite paintings...
We had dinner...
...and then met up with my cousin Katie. Katie and I had tickets to Hamilton!
I thought it totally lived up to the hype. As soon as the music started, everyone leaned forward in their seats; I’ve never felt that kind of energy at a show before. I started crying tears of joy during “The Schuyler Sisters;” I just couldn’t believe I was finally there! And it went by way too quickly. The applause at the end was subdued. Everyone loved it, but most of us were crying/emotional. I just can’t say enough good things about it. I want to go again!
It started out at the park with Carley and Emily and Carley’s kids. We’ve basically been friends our whole lives; I love these girls so much! It always feels like we never have enough time to talk. And Carley’s kids are so sweet and polite! Carley asked me to tell Ruby about canyoneering, and I didn’t think she’d be interested, but she asked questions and wanted to see pictures. All of Carley’s kids are just so likeable. Which makes sense, because they’ve got the best mom.

And then giggled and came up with captions for some of the other paintings.
