Our first stop was the market at the ferry building in San Francisco. Beautiful sites and good food.
Then, we went to San Francisco Maritime NHP. It was a dud! The museum was closed (like everything else on this trip!) and you had to pay to explore the tall ships. But Mom got to dip her toes in the Pacific Ocean, so that was cool.
We drove across the Golden Gate Bridge, which always makes me happy even though I'm usually scared of bridges. Today I was just a little freaked out when my mom commented that "it sure would suck if the big one hit while we were driving across this."
We went to the Russian River brewery in Santa Rosa, and, not surprisingly, Dad was mad that there was a wait and wanted to leave.
But I got a little stern with him and he agreed to stay. We split the tasting flight, which included one of each of their beers- 21 all together!
My favorite was the Damnation! I ordered a glass of it and a growler to go. Everyone raves about Pliny the Elder, but I actually liked the Blind Pig better!
